Ok, well I've actually been to quite a few weddings, because I'm now at the age when a lot of my friends are starting to get married, so it was kind of difficult choosing which one to describe, but I guess probably the easiest for me to talk about would be the most recent one I went to, which was that of a neighbour of mine.

Also, what I should probably make clear to you first, though, is that weddings here in China tend to just involve the wedding reception, as you may know, without the signing of marriage documents, which is usually done in private several months before the wedding, so it's just the reception which I'm gonna talk about.

And, as for who was there, well, I couldn't tell you everyone, because there were absolutely loads of people, you know, the hall was pretty packed, so my guess would be that there were probably something like 250 to 300 guests, and if I'm not mistaken, it seemed to be that the majority were friends and relatives of the bride and groom, although I also noticed that they had invited quite a few of their colleagues from work as well, because one of them, who I think was her boss, went up on stage to make a speech at some point.

Anyway, with regard to where the wedding was held, well, it was actually in a small city called Zhuji, which is about an hour's drive just to the south east of Hangzhou, because that's where the bride comes from, and the reception itself was held in quite a nice-looking hotel, which was easy to spot because it was about 10 times higher than all the buildings around it!

So regarding how I felt at the wedding, well, to put it simply, it was a really wonderful wedding, and there were some parts of it that moved me quite a lot, such as when the bride broke down in tears when she was on stage thanking her parents for all the support they had given her. It was also really clear to see how much the bride and groom loved each other, as they couldn't take their eyes off each other the whole evening, so I was really happy for them and was glad that I made it to their wedding.

1. Do you like to watch the sky?你喜歡仰望天空嗎? 對于這樣一個yes/no 的問題，一個口語答題的常識就是千萬不要給出yes/ no，后續(xù)的語言支撐才是重點。

Actually, I don’t have any particular preference over this since they both got unique features. In the daytime, it’s so much brighter and warmer because of the sun, so it is more comfortable to have the sunbath while watching the sky. But it is not as tranquil or fascinating as it is in the evening with all those shinning stars blinking towards me.

Well, I guess it depends greatly on where one live. I mean, for someone lives in the suburban district or country side, with less lights and average height of the house, positions for a better view may not matter that much. However, for one form urban areas, it would be excellent to stand on the roof of a skyscraper or get in a planetarium or museum where a telescope is set. Unfortunately, I have never tried this.

1. Do you like taking photos/pictures?

聽到這個題目很多同學(xué)的常規(guī)思路是“喜歡拍照，因為有意思(I love taking photos because it is very interesting)”。這種答法非常普便，最大的缺點就是太籠統(tǒng)，細(xì)節(jié)太少，不符合雅思口語評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中 ‘speak at full length’的內(nèi)在要求。

那么有沒有比較有意思，新穎，豐富的答案呢?下面我們通過語料分析來拓展一下思路。

這個問題所能展開的語料點有兩個：

一是like這個單詞，我們可以有很多同義替換的詞匯，比如love, enjoy, be crazy about, be fond of等等。

第二語料點就是taking photos/pictures,我們可以想一想是給人照相，還是給風(fēng)景照相，這樣我們在設(shè)計答語時，就會有兩個可發(fā)散的方向?；蛘邇烧叨忌婕暗揭允勾鸶迂S富。關(guān)于taking photos/pictures，我們還可以用特殊疑問詞去展開敘述，比如what，用什么拍照，相機還是手機，where喜歡在哪拍照，山里還是海邊，還有how often多久拍一次。

對于這道題目而言，很多同學(xué)會有這樣一個疑惑，Do you like taking photos 是給自己拍照還是給別人拍照。這里我們可以引入一個短語 take photo of…表示給……拍照。所以為了保險一點，我們理解為給別人或其他東西拍照是絕對不會產(chǎn)生誤解的。當(dāng)然如想表達(dá)給自己拍照可以說 take photo of myself. 此題所考查的語法點并不是很難，主要是like doing something這樣一個固定搭配。同時有相同語法規(guī)則的詞還有enjoy doing something, 大家在使用時注意這一點即可。

這是一個非常經(jīng)典的選擇性的問答題，面對這樣的題目，大部分同學(xué)還是可以很快做出選擇的，例如很多人會說: I would like to take photos of others.但是后續(xù)思路的拓展難倒了很多人，比如為什么喜歡這樣的做法。理由的補充是雅思口語考試中最重要的細(xì)節(jié)之一。所以這個題目的思路的新穎性需要體現(xiàn)在reason這個點上。

我們來進(jìn)行一下語料分析。首先是Would you like的替換，除了I would like這個短語之外，我們還可以用I would prefer to do, I have my preference for doing,甚至I want to, I love to都是不錯的，也可以用一些對比信號比較強烈的詞組，例如這樣的開頭句，Compared with being photographed, I would prefer to take photos of others.

那么接下來，我們該如何展開reason呢?最好的辦法，就是結(jié)合自己的個人情況：

有的同學(xué)說自己不上相，我們可以說他不夠photogenic,如果這個單詞有難度，就可以說I don’t look beautiful/cool/handsome in photo.因此不太喜歡被別人拍照。

與之相反，有的同學(xué)比較喜歡欣賞自己的美，就可以說，I feel really confident when seeing beautiful me in photos.甚至可以自嘲說Maybe I have narcissism,有點自戀。因此這樣的同學(xué)可以選擇說喜歡被照相。這里我們談了較多被拍照的思路，

雅思口語Sunshine話題

1. Do you like sunny days?

思路：

一般我們就喜歡回答yes或者no，然后來一個‘because’解釋原因。我們也可以去嘗試對比一下以前和過去。

誤區(qū)：

有的同學(xué)沒有在意‘sunny days’是連在一起的，所以會錯說成‘I like sunny’，這樣就不對啦，因為‘sunny’僅僅是形容詞在這里，后面需要加上名詞，變成‘sunny days’。當(dāng)然也可以去轉(zhuǎn)述，說‘I like it when it’s sunny’。還有的同學(xué)回答‘Do you like sunny days?’這個題目，喜歡直接回答‘Yes I like sunny days’或者‘No, I don’t like sunny days’。這樣就很難在評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)里面詞匯一項得高分了。

Yeah, totally. I used to hate it so much though back in the day cause I didn't wanna get tanned. Nowadays I’ve grown up a bit, so I’m not really bothered any more. Plus I find that the bright sunshine can always put me in a jolly good mood.

2. Do you like going outside on sunny days?

思路：

有的同學(xué)想在這一題用’it depends’去分情況，非常好!你可以這么講 – Well I guess it really depends. I mean most of the time, I would prefer to stay indoors enjoying my lovely AC if it’s burning out there. But if it’s in winter, I like to take a walk somewhere to let the sun warm me up.

誤區(qū)：

有的同學(xué)在這里可能會有點兒沒注意介詞的準(zhǔn)確，時常聽到這樣的回答‘I like going outside in sunny days’或者‘I don't like going outside in sunny’。準(zhǔn)備的表達(dá)是on sunny days. 注意在一個具體的日子里，我們要用on。比如on my birthday, on Valentine’s Day, on Xmas…
