與普通學士學位相比，兩者的不同?普通的學士學位(Bachelor degrees)課程
通常是經過整體的規(guī)劃及設計，幫助學生發(fā)展其對主修科目的解析能力，并能針對其所學相關知識做衍生應用。通常學生必須選擇主修科目做深入的研讀。課程內容是以漸進方式進行，由淺入深的探討各學習主題，并為今后進行研究課程學習立下根基。 通常申請澳洲大學入學，申請人具備有高中畢業(yè)的程度。
榮譽學士學位(Honours Degree)課程

需要注意的是，國內本科畢業(yè)是不能申請榮譽學士的。在澳洲，攻讀榮譽學士學位，學校對于學生的要求會有所不同，例如本科第三年的成績需要在平均75分以上，并且本科三年不能有掛科記錄。所以，如果有計劃申請榮譽學位的學生應提前做好準備。榮譽學士和普通學士雖然只有兩個字的差別，卻是學校對于學生綜合素質的不同等級評價。
社會認可度遠高于普通學士
正如學位名字那樣，榮譽學士學位在求學和求職方面都有極大的優(yōu)勢。在求學方面，由于澳洲榮譽學位以邀請制的方式邀請本校排名前 5%的優(yōu)秀本科畢業(yè)生以加讀一年的方式進行高強度的研究性訓練，學位效力高于研究性碩士，可以簡單視作準博士，其在讀生數量嚴格控制在個位數。
絕大部分的榮譽學士畢業(yè)即可有條件全獎繼續(xù)研讀澳洲本校博士，而拔尖的榮譽學士更能直接申請到美國常春藤名校。
